I love Blutengel. They're one of some dark electro bands. My favorite songs of Blutengel are the ones with female voice. I don't understand why they often changed their members. But I still like them, both style & songs.
My friends who are non-goth always wonder why I like their songs. Dark electro sounds very weird to them. I don't blame them for considering it's weird, I know they're fans of mainstream music like Taylor Swift, One Direction, Rihanna, etc. Some goths also say dark electro is not gothic music. The real gothic bands are The Cure, Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees etc. I also listen to those bands, but electro is my most favorite genre. Like what I told on previous post, listening to your favorite music doesn't mean you're not a goth.
Okay, back to the makeup. We already know, gothic makeup is always pale & mysterious with black eyeliner, smokey eyes, and bold lipstick. Dark lip colors are so mainstream recently, a lot of non-gothic people wear them. But I'm sure they still prefer natural makeup.
I usually go out with less makeup, I only wear red or brown lipstick, dark brown smokey eyes & thin eyeliner pencil for daily, and I never wear foundation. I don't dare to wear striking makeup because I live in Indonesia. People have negative opinion about goths, they think goths are satanists. Most Indonesians are "religious." I might be arrested by cops if I put bold gothic makeup on my face, hehehee..
I'm trying to make over my face to look like members of Blutengel. I know I failed, hehe.. I'm still newbie. See how different they look before & after gothic makeup..
Now see it on me..
I made it just for fun. I'll have to learn more, hehe.. it doesn't look fierce enough as a stage makeup. It would be nice for my daily makeup, I would wear it without black lipstick & white face powder.
Bye! See you on the next post!
